Job Purpose

The School Shop Relocation Support Staff will play a vital role in the physical transition of the School Shop to its new location. This operational and hands-on position ensures that stock, furniture, and equipment are safely transferred, organized, and installed according to the new store layout. Candidates for this role must demonstrate reliability, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail, respecting Aiglon College's property and brand standards.

General Requirements

An ideal candidate will:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Stock Preparation and Handling

  • Assist with packing and labeling merchandise
  • Organize products by category (uniform, branded, unbranded, accessories, etc.)
  • Support stock control and conduct basic inventory checks
  • Handle fragile or high-value items with care
  • Maintain a clear tracking system during the transfer process

Physical Move & Installation

  • Transport boxes, rails, shelving, and equipment as instructed
  • Assist with dismantling and reassembling fixtures as needed
  • Support the installation of new shelving, rails, and displays
  • Follow layout instructions for product placement

Store Set-Up in New Premises

  • Unpack and organize stock according to the merchandising plan
  • Assist with steaming uniforms and preparing products for display
  • Ensure pricing labels and signage are correctly positioned
  • Help prepare the store for reopening

Organisation & Cleanliness

  • Maintain a safe and tidy working area at all times
  • Dispose of packaging materials appropriately
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines

Working Conditions

This is a temporary assignment linked to the relocation period with fixed daily hours as agreed. Some physical work is required, and candidates should wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities

Undertake any other tasks reasonably required by the School Shop Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the School Shop. Candidates must understand and implement all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to safeguarding children and young people. Upholding the School’s Guiding Principles and ethos at all times is essential.
