Your Profile

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality nursing care and promoting health among students? At Collège Beau Soleil, we are committed to providing exceptional health services to our students. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our students by providing clinically effective nursing care and implementing proactive health promotion initiatives.

Working as part of a dedicated team, effective communication is paramount in your role, particularly when collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other school services to monitor student health. Attention to procedures and details is crucial.

We offer an 80% contract and are seeking a nurse who can work flexible hours from Monday to Sunday, between 8 am and 10 pm, depending on the season and the needs of our activities. With around 50 days’ holiday a year, you will be able to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Fluency in both French and English, along with at least three years of nursing experience, is required. Join us in cultivating a safe and supportive atmosphere where every student can flourish.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and medical care to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school departments to develop and implement individualized care plans for students with chronic/acute conditions or special medical needs.
  • Play an active role in health promotion by planning, delivering, and supporting the school Welfare program.
  • Ensure efficient and assertive communication among all parties involved in caregiving to guarantee that students receive appropriate care promptly.
  • Maintain the medical room, medical facilities, defibrillator, and first aid kits throughout the school to meet the school's requirements.
  • Document all dispensed treatments and supplies used accurately.
  • Continuously improve professional knowledge and competence, staying current with relevant clinical and nursing issues in school settings.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • HES Diploma in Nursing or equivalent, recognized by the Swiss Government.
  • Fluency in French and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficiency in informatics tools and technologies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 3 years of nursing experience; experience in a school environment is a plus but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Reliable with a strong attention to detail.
  • A sense of discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to organize time and priorities effectively.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
