YOUR PROFILE

If you are passionate about delivering high-quality nursing care and promoting health among students, we want to hear from you. As a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of our students by providing clinically effective nursing care and spearheading proactive health initiatives.

Effective communication is essential in your role, especially when collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other school services to monitor student health. Attention to detail and adherence to procedures is a must.

We offer an 80% contract and are seeking a nurse who can work flexible hours from Monday to Sunday, between 8 AM and 10 PM, according to seasonal demands and activities. With approximately 50 days of holiday per year, you can maintain a healthy work-life balance.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide first aid and medical care to students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school departments to create and implement individualized care plans for students with chronic or acute conditions or special medical needs.
  • Actively engage in health promotion through planning, delivering, and supporting the school welfare program.
  • Facilitate efficient and assertive communication among all parties involved in caregiving to ensure timely and appropriate care for students.
  • Maintain the medical room, medical facilities, defibrillator, and first aid kits throughout the school to meet established requirements.
  • Document all dispensed treatments and the use of supplies accurately.
  • Continuously enhance professional knowledge and competence by staying updated on clinical and nursing issues relevant to school environments.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • HES Diploma in Nursing or an equivalent recognized by the Swiss Government.
  • Fluency in French and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficiency in information technology tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • At least 3 years of nursing experience; school environment experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and effectively organize time and priorities.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach to work.
