YOUR PROFILE

Are you passionate about providing high-quality nursing care and promoting health among students? At Collège Alpin Beau Soleil, we are dedicated to offering exceptional health services, and as a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our students' well-being. This involves delivering clinically effective nursing care and implementing proactive health promotion initiatives.

As part of our team, effective communication is essential in your role. This is particularly important when collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other school services to monitor student health. You will be attentive to procedures and details.

We are offering an 80% contract and are seeking a nurse who can work flexible hours from Monday to Sunday between 8am and 10pm, depending on seasonal and activity needs. With approximately 50 days of holiday per year, you'll maintain an adequate work-life balance.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first aid and medical care to students in alignment with school policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school departments to develop and implement individualized care plans for students with chronic or acute conditions or special medical needs.
• Actively contribute to health promotion through the planning, delivery, and support of the school Welfare program.
• Facilitate efficient and assertive communication among all involved parties to ensure students receive appropriate care promptly.
• Maintain the medical room, medical facilities, defibrillator, and first aid kits throughout the school in accordance with requirements.
• Document all dispensed treatments and supplies used to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Continuously enhance professional knowledge and competence to keep abreast of relevant clinical and nursing issues.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• HES Diploma in Nursing or equivalent, recognized by the Swiss Government.
• Fluency in French and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Proficiency in various informatics tools and technologies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; experience in a school environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Reliability with a strong attention to detail.
• Discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
