Purpose of Role

This is a senior role responsible for attracting and driving student enrolments to meet ambitious targets, building relationships with prospective families, and collaborating with all stakeholders involved in the admissions process. The Head of Admissions will oversee lead conversion generated by our marketing team into enrolments. This position is ideal for a natural leader who is performance-driven and comfortable using data strategically.

The Head of Admissions reports directly to the Head of the School and has functional reporting to the Regional Head of Admissions, while also being a member of the School Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Enrolment Management:

  • Advise prospective parents & stakeholders on our value proposition (profile, programme, fee structure, and all services provided) across all sales channels.
  • Implement the School's Admissions process, nurturing the sales funnel at all stages, ensuring an excellent family experience through customer service, negotiation, objection handling, and parent communications.
  • Follow up with all potential leads to warm prospective sales through school tours and meetings, converting them into new enrolments.
  • Create, organise, and deploy innovative open days and recruitment events (both virtual and in-person), ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Support the School in assessing prospective students as per the admissions policy.
  • Implement all policies and documentation related to student admissions with the support of stakeholders, following ISP guidelines to ensure consistency in admissions standards and processes.
  • Monitor and develop lead generation activities in collaboration with the ISP Heads of Marketing and Admissions to meet admissions targets.
  • Work with the Head of School and SLT to develop appropriate programmes and campaigns, such as referral schemes and scholarships.
  • Regularly review and develop admissions documents, parent communication platforms, and marketing materials to ensure accurate information and best practices.
  • Ensure the school adheres to ISP customer service standards and conducts regular training for all admissions team members.

Networking & Building Relationships:

  • Develop and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with feeder schools, nurseries, universities, local businesses, government entities, education agents, and other organisations to maximize student recruitment and retention.
  • Support the Head of School by participating in relevant national and regional conferences, events, and competitions to raise the profile of the school.
  • Work closely with parent-facing administrative staff to ensure outstanding coordination among all internal stakeholders and ensure first impressions lead to positive visitor experiences.
  • Advise on effective continued support and communication to new families after students enrol, focusing on ‘after sales care’.

Enrolment Targets & Data Management:

  • Collaborate with the school leadership team to establish recruitment and retention targets by analysing demand and enrolment data.
  • Lead and prepare comprehensive reports based on data analysis, providing recommendations for adjustments to recruitment tactics and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain the CRM system by ensuring it is up to date, accurate, and effectively utilized for tracking prospective student information.
  • Take ownership of agreed retention targets, ensuring clear data and targets to work towards.
  • Develop and implement a structured approach to retaining existing families based on early identification of at-risk families.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (business administration or similar).
  • Preferably multilingual (French and English are a must).
  • Familiar with Geneva and international markets (demographical, social, and cultural knowledge).
  • Demonstrable experience in the commercial service sector, ideally in educational student recruitment and enrolment.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills, with proficiency in technology for organizing and analyzing admissions data.
  • Experienced with CRM systems (HubSpot or Salesforce preferred).
  • Articulate and communicative, able to present information concisely and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding customer experience skills.
