Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Project Manager to lead a greenfield SAP Extended Warehouse Management implementation as part of a broader SAP S/4HANA RISE transformation programme. The successful candidate will be involved from the Prepare phase and will take hands-on ownership of the EWM project throughout the full implementation lifecycle—from preparation to Go-Live and subsequent rollout activities.

This role is more aligned with project management than programme management, requiring the successful candidate to oversee the daily delivery of the EWM project. Key responsibilities include coordinating functional and technical teams, managing planning and risks, facilitating workshops, and ensuring successful progress through the SAP Activate lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of SAP EWM implementation and rollout projects from Prepare through Go-Live.
• Take hands-on ownership of the EWM project lifecycle, ensuring activities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables are effectively managed.
• Manage cross-functional SAP functional and technical consultants.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, status reporting, RAID management, and governance.
• Drive delivery using SAP Activate methodology.
• Lead and coordinate Fit-to-Standard workshops, ensuring business requirements are aligned with SAP standard processes.
• Coordinate multiple international country rollouts within the SAP S/4HANA RISE programme.
• Deliver SAP EWM solutions that adhere to SAP Best Practices and the EWM Baseline Industry Template.
• Coordinate integration between SAP EWM and SAP S/4HANA.
• Manage warehouse technology integrations, including RF devices and associated warehouse technologies.
• Coordinate EWM dependencies with broader business processes including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
• Oversee risks, issues, dependencies, and project timelines to ensure resolution.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, SAP consultants, and technical teams.
• Manage geographically distributed delivery teams.
• Support testing, cutover, deployment, and Go-Live activities.
• Ensure effective communication between business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience

• 10+ years' experience managing SAP implementation projects.
• Proven experience delivering multiple SAP EWM implementation projects as a Project Manager.
• Strong hands-on project management experience across the entire SAP implementation lifecycle.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience of SAP Activate methodology, including the various project phases.
• Experience with Fit-to-Standard workshops and the SAP implementation lifecycle.
• Track record of delivering greenfield SAP EWM implementations.
• Experience managing SAP EWM deployments that include:
  • SAP S/4HANA integration
  • Warehouse integrations
  • RF device integration
  • Warehouse technologies
• Experience leading SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP EWM master data and transactional data objects.
• Good understanding of EWM integration with:
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Strong project planning and scheduling experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
• Ability to operate as a hands-on Project Manager rather than solely at the programme governance level.
