Job Description
As a Product Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring global environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability for our Diagnostic Instruments, Consumables, and Packaging. This role involves adherence to a wide range of global regulations, including:
- REACH
- RoHS
- California Proposition 65
- TSCA
- POP
- Conflict Minerals
- Packaging Directive
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a Global Data Migration Project to transfer large sets of Chemical Legislation Data from the current SAP EHSM Solution to the new EHSM S4 HANA Solution.
- Driving the modernization of our chemical data model by translating and transforming chemical data structures from legacy systems into S4/HANA-compatible formats to facilitate seamless data migration.
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity by preparing load files and performing post-load verification checks using automation and mass load tools.
- Driving operational efficiency by simplifying processes, focusing on the automation of manual tasks, and promoting automated report generation.
- Actively contributing to project meetings by offering valuable insights, updates, and subject-matter expertise.
- Utilizing project management tools to monitor project health, ensure timely execution, and maintain momentum across key milestones.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with EHSM.
- 2+ years of experience with S4 HANA.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks, including global environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, TSCA, POP, Conflict Minerals, and the Packaging Directive.
- Good understanding of the chemical composition of materials used in instruments, electronic devices, and packaging.
- In-depth experience with interactive, real-time Tableau dashboards and data pipelines in Snowflake.
- Experience utilizing Material Declaration Data Management Systems for the comprehensive evaluation, maintenance, and verification of large-scale material declaration datasets (such as SAP EH&S(M) or equivalents).
