As an ETH Zürich Spin-Off, we are a rapidly growing pioneer in the underwater robotics industry, proudly made in Switzerland. Following a successful pre-seed investment round of 3.5 million, we are positioned to revolutionize the underwater robotics landscape. We are in search of a passionate Sales Representative / Key Account Manager to join our dynamic team.
Your Role
In this position, you will report directly to executive management and collaborate closely with our business and technical teams, as well as external partners. Your mission will involve implementing our underwater robotic solutions within customer operations by establishing and nurturing long-term relationships in the offshore energy and defense markets. You will represent Tethys Robotics through a hands-on approach at conferences, demonstrations, and customer visits across the globe.
Your Contribution
- Proactively acquire new customers in the offshore energy and defense sectors while successfully closing sales deals.
- Lead and support contract negotiations, taking ownership of deal closures.
- Represent our technologically advanced products during targeted customer visits, online meetings, and at international trade shows, as well as through product demonstrations on-site.
- Build enduring relationships with decision-makers, sharing valuable industry insights to position Tethys Robotics favorably among target customers.
- Co-develop market-specific and customer-centric sales strategies, including partnerships with resellers, agencies, and distributors.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and executive teams to develop tailored proposals.
Your Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of proven B2B sales experience with technologically sophisticated products, along with a strong network in offshore energy and defense markets.
- Demonstrated success in technology sales.
- Excellent communication skills, robust negotiation abilities, and intercultural competence, with a persuasive personality skilled in winning people over.
- Technical understanding and an affinity for complex systems, ideally in robotics, sensor technology, or maritime technologies (engineering degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in methodologically and structurally managing sales funnels, preferably using HubSpot.
- Fluency in professional English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
- Willingness and ability to undertake spontaneous national and international business travels.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- A positive mindset and a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, with motivation to work in challenging outdoor conditions.
Bonus Points For
- Extensive market knowledge, including practical experience with offshore campaigns and their execution.
- Sales experience within the maritime industry or robotics.
- Possessing offshore certifications (GWO / BOSIET or equivalent).
