Tethys Robotics is at the forefront of developing innovative underwater robotic solutions designed for inspection and investigation operations in the most challenging conditions. We proudly serve clients, including large asset operators and industrial service providers, across high-demand sectors such as offshore wind, oil and gas, maritime security, demining (UXO, MCM), and search & rescue.

We are seeking a passionate sales professional with a strong business development mindset to help us achieve our ambitious goals.

Your Role

As a Sales Representative / Key Account Manager at Tethys Robotics, you will:

  • Report directly to the executive management and collaborate closely with our business and technical teams.
  • Implement our underwater robotic solutions into customer operations by identifying, acquiring, and establishing long-term relationships within the offshore energy and defense markets.
  • Represent Tethys Robotics at conferences, demonstrations, and customer visits globally.

Your Contribution

  • Actively acquire new customers in offshore energy and defense sectors to close sales deals.
  • Lead and support contract negotiations while taking responsibility for deal closure.
  • Represent our technologically advanced products to strategically target customers through meetings, online presentations, and in-person demonstrations at international trade shows.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, providing valuable industry insights to help position Tethys Robotics effectively among target customers.
  • Co-develop market- and customer-specific sales strategies, including reseller partnerships, agencies, and distributors.
  • Develop customized proposals in close collaboration with engineering and executive management.

Your Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of proven B2B sales experience with technologically sophisticated products, ideally accompanied by a strong and dependable network in the offshore energy and defense markets.
  • Demonstrated success in tech sales.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and intercultural competence, along with a persuasive personality.
  • A technical understanding and affinity for operating complex systems, ideally in robotics, sensor technology, or maritime technologies (engineering degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience managing sales funnels methodologically and structurally, preferably using HubSpot.
  • Fluency in professional English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake spontaneous national and international business travel.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • A passion for thriving in a fast-paced start-up environment and a motivation to work in challenging outdoor conditions!

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Extensive market knowledge and hands-on experience with offshore campaigns.
  • Sales experience in the maritime industry or robotics.
  • Offshore certification (GWO / BOSIET or equivalent).
