Current Opportunity: Sales Engineer
To support our growth, LMS is seeking talented and motivated sales engineers for our Baar (Switzerland) office. You will work closely with our CEO and CEO for North America to identify and qualify sales opportunities, understand customer needs, provide technical support throughout the sales process, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to our sales and marketing strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support lead sales executives in identifying business opportunities with new prospects and existing customers.
- Organize and participate in sales meetings; attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to promote LMS products and services.
- Deliver product demonstrations and presentations, provide pre-sales training, and address technical inquiries to help clients understand the benefits and applications of our solutions.
- Assess client requirements and manage the technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses and proposals for customized technology solutions.
- Liaise with support, software, and hardware engineers to address pre-sales technical queries and communicate client feedback to product development teams.
- Master LMS products’ technical features, functionalities, and related documentation, including manuals and training sessions.
- Assist in training sales team members on the uses and benefits of LMS products, and help in creating and maintaining sales literature.
- Nurture existing client relationships to maximize recurring revenue and upsell relevant LMS products and services.
- Ensure sales targets are met and assist in reviewing sales performance and return on investment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
- Assist in developing sales strategies for current and future products and services.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience as a technology sales engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of FPGA-based hardware and embedded systems.
- Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities to identify customer needs and propose innovative solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Experience providing expert technical advice, listening to client feedback, and communicating concerns internally.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Experience with sales methodologies and CRM systems.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are beneficial.
- Experience creating technical content, such as whitepapers or technical blog posts.
