As a proven specialist with a strong sales mindset, you will be the key point of contact for orthopaedic and sports medicine surgeons, operating room managers, and staff in hospitals and clinics. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and ensure the effective application of our high-quality, innovative products. You will proactively identify new business opportunities, implement strategies, and manage sales projects within your designated territory.

Objectives of the Position

  • Provide comprehensive sales and product advice in the clinical fields of orthopaedics and sports medicine.
  • Systematically plan and organize your own field service activities.
  • Build long-term customer relationships with physicians, operating room staff, buyers, and other decision-makers.
  • Strengthen existing product lines and introduce product innovations.
  • Organize and implement training events (workshops, customer training) for medical professionals.
  • Achieve general and specific sales targets related to market penetration and sales.
  • Develop and implement sales action plans in cooperation with the sales manager.
  • Represent the business unit at industry congresses.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sales experience, ideally in the medical device sector.
  • Fluency in German and English, both in writing and speaking.
  • Experience in Medical Device Sales, Operating Room Sales, or Orthopaedic Devices/Sports Medicine is required.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel within the German region.
  • Strong sales-driven mindset with excellent execution abilities and professional presence.
  • Customer-oriented personality with a results-driven approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence in closing deals.
  • Self-motivated and determined with a willingness to perform.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
  • Creativity and openness to change.
  • Independent, dynamic, resilient, and entrepreneurial personality.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. This transaction is expected to conclude within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements and regulatory approvals.
