Sales Consultant Orthopaedics / Sports Medicine - German-speaking part of Switzerland

We are seeking a strong, customer-focused, and communicative individual to join our orthopaedics business as a Sales Consultant Sports Medicine, starting immediately or by agreement. As a proven specialist with a strong sales mindset, you will be the key point of contact for orthopaedic and Sports Medicine surgeons, OR managers, and operating room staff in hospitals and clinics. In this central role, you will coordinate, organize, and ensure the proper use of our high-quality, innovative products. You will proactively identify new business opportunities, drive their execution, and manage corresponding sales projects within your assigned territory.

Objectives of the Position

  • Provide comprehensive sales and product advice in the clinical field of orthopaedics / Sports Medicine.
  • Systematically plan and organize your field service activities.
  • Build long-term customer relationships with physicians, operating room staff, buyers, and other decision-makers.
  • Strengthen existing product lines and introduce product innovations.
  • Organize and implement further training events (workshops, customer training) for medical professionals.
  • Achieve general and specific sales targets related to market penetration and sales.
  • Develop and implement sales and action plans in collaboration with the sales manager.
  • Represent the business unit at industry congresses.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sales experience, ideally in the medical device sector.
  • Fluency in German and English, with proficiency in business communication.
  • Experience in Medical Device Sales, Operating Room Sales, Orthopedic Devices, Sports Medicine, or Orthopedic Surgery is required.
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel within the German region.
  • Clear sales-driven mindset with excellent execution skills and a professional presence.
  • Highly customer-oriented personality with a result-driven approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence in closing deals.
  • Demonstrated determination, self-motivation, and willingness to excel.
  • Exceptional communication and persuasion skills.
  • Creativity with an openness to change.
  • Independent, dynamic, resilient, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The anticipated timeline for this separation is within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, regulatory approvals, and customary conditions.
