Role Description
At MESH, we strive to adopt a data-driven approach to robotics, particularly for applications in the construction industry. As a robotics/mechanical engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to develop new industrial robotic processes and enhance existing ones for the automated handling of rebar. Your work will encompass a full stack of technology, ranging from hardware and electronics to control software, perception and sensors, and data science, with occasional engagement in hardware solutions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in robotics, computer science, industrial/mechatronics/mechanical/aerospace engineering.
- Basic experience in the fields of robotics and/or software development (C/C++ and Python).
- Familiarity with robotics toolkits/middleware such as ROS/ROS2.
- Experience with Ubuntu/Linux and version control systems such as Git.
- Proficiency in English is required for this position.
Good to Have
- Working proficiency in German, Italian, or French.
- Experience with industrial manipulators (e.g., ABB IRB).
- Familiarity with geometry processing tools for 3D data manipulation, visualization, and analysis (OpenCV, Open3D, PCL, CGAL, VTK, etc.).
