Role Description
At MESH, we are committed to leveraging a data-driven approach to robotics within the construction industry. As a robotics/mechanical engineering intern, you will be involved in developing innovative industrial robotic processes and enhancing existing ones for the automated handling of rebar. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a comprehensive array of technologies, from hardware and electronics to control software, perception and sensors, and data science.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in robotics, computer science, industrial/mechatronics/mechanical/aerospace engineering.
- Basic experience in robotics and/or software development (C/C++ and Python).
- Familiarity with robotics toolkits/middleware such as ROS/ROS2.
- Experience with Ubuntu/Linux and version control systems like Git.
- Proficiency in English is a requirement for this position.
Good to Have
- Working proficiency in German, Italian, or French.
- Experience with industrial manipulators (e.g., ABB IRB).
- Experience with geometry processing tools for 3D data manipulation, visualization, and analysis (OpenCV, Open3D, PCL, CGAL, VTK, etc.).
