Role Overview

As part of our Galley team on our River vessels, the Utility plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness for crockery. You will be responsible for ensuring absolute cleanliness and tidiness in the scullery, in accordance with Viking's Standards and Operating Procedures. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef.

What You Will Do On Board

  • Professionally clean crockery
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the scullery and dish-washing area
  • Regularly clean the kitchen area as per instructions from the supervisor
  • Separate and dispose of waste and garbage properly
  • Assist supervisors in ordering cleaning materials and relevant equipment
  • Ensure perfect order and cleanliness in working areas in accordance with HACCP standards
  • Correctly handle, clean, and maintain all equipment and products
  • Conduct stock takes and inventory according to company procedures

About You

  • Good spoken English skills; any additional language is advantageous
  • Previous experience in the same role is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, with a service-oriented and guest-focused approach
  • Must maintain impeccable grooming and hygiene standards
  • Extensive walking required with the ability to stand for long periods
  • Flexible, stress-resistant, a team player, and committed to your responsibilities
