Return Seeking Associate / Return Seeking Associate

APOLLO MANAGEMENT ADVISORS SWITZERLAND SÀRL - April 20, 2026

Position Overview

As part of Apollo, ISGI serves as the dedicated investment office for large, strategic, and sophisticated insurance and pension clients. These clients invest over €15bn in “Return Seeking” (RS) assets managed by ISGI, which includes an evolving array of private debt and equity-like investments sourced and underwritten by Apollo. The strategy is characterized by a relative value-oriented approach, emphasizing consistent outperformance and capital preservation within the local regulatory constraints of insurance and pension funds. Our investments cover a wide spectrum of credit, real assets, and equity-like opportunities across various jurisdictions and markets globally.

The ISGI RS team in Zurich spearheads this initiative, providing comprehensive support to insurance clients in portfolio management, investment selection, analytics, reporting, educational resources, and assistance with Solvency II optimization. The team is dedicated to constructing portfolios of private investments while helping clients navigate interactions with local regulators and boards.

Associate Role

We are seeking an Associate to integrate into our team for the origination and management of private investments, with a focus on collaborating with Israeli insurance companies on the client side. This role will enable their asset allocation to private investments within the constraints of Israeli regulation. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Zurich-based RS team to support the global origination of private investments.

The successful hire will demonstrate a commitment to enhancing our service, insights, and economic performance as a team through expertise, strong client relationships, and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Defend investment decisions, coordinate governance for efficient approvals, and prepare necessary investment and reporting material within the regulatory framework, including the Solvency II prudent person principle.
  • Liaise with Apollo deal teams to support the origination and structuring of new deals that meet Israeli client needs and constraints.
  • Understand, prepare, and adjust investor reports and respond to inquiries for both internal management information and external client regulatory reporting.
  • Apply and develop analytics to track and project capital activity, returns, forecasting, capital consumption, drawdown risk, diversification, and other metrics to construct portfolios of private investments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in investment functions within a large insurance company, an insurance asset management company, an investment bank within insurance solutions or structuring, a consulting firm specializing in insurance regulation or law, or an alternative asset management group.
  • Previous experience with alternative or private investments is essential.

Experience documenting investment decisions against these frameworks and knowledge of Prudent Person Principle (PPP) requirements is required.
  • Ability to defend investment proposals to clients, coupled with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a robust work ethic, consistently willing to go the extra mile.
  • Able to perform under pressure, multitask, and respond quickly and effectively to requests.
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint for efficient data manipulation, portfolio reporting, and modeling, specifically for private investment portfolios.
