Position Overview
As a key component of Apollo, ISGI operates as the dedicated investment office for large, strategic, and sophisticated insurance and pension clients. These clients invest over €15bn into “Return Seeking” (RS) assets, managed by ISGI. This investment strategy focuses on private debt and equity investments that are originated and underwritten by Apollo. By adopting a relative value-oriented approach, we aim to achieve consistent outperformance while preserving capital for insurance and pension funds within their local regulatory frameworks. Our investment portfolio spans a diverse array of credit, real assets, and equity-like investments from various jurisdictions and markets worldwide.
The ISGI RS team in Zurich spearheads this initiative, engaging with insurance clients in portfolio management, investment selection, analytics, reporting, educational resources, and Solvency II optimization support. The team also constructs portfolios of private investments while assisting clients in defending these portfolios to local regulators and boards.
