Role Overview: Boarding House Parent

As a Boarding House Parent at Copperfield, you will play a crucial role in providing pastoral care and support to our boarding students. From ensuring their well-being and safety to fostering a sense of community and belonging, you will be instrumental in creating a home away from home for our students.

Responsibilities Include:

• Living in the boarding house and supervising and supporting students outside of school hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Overseeing daily routines and activities within the boarding house.
• Providing emotional support and guidance to students as needed.
• Collaborating with school staff and parents to address any concerns or issues related to student welfare.
• Organising and participating in recreational and cultural activities for boarding students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a residential setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of boarding students and the school community.
