Your Mission
At SMG, you'll take ownership from day one. In our Automotive division, which includes the platforms AutoScout24 & MotoScout24, your goal will be to enhance these platforms into even more impressive products.
As a UX researcher, you will be responsible for understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions. The insights derived will inform our product strategy and shape the user experiences across all our platforms. Your work will significantly influence the perception of the car market in Switzerland, impacting millions of people directly.
What You Will Do:
- Plan research in collaboration with various stakeholders to define strategic research objectives.
- Prepare, conduct, and analyze qualitative and quantitative user studies to explore business models, features, concepts, and designs together with our users.
- Communicate insights and findings effectively to represent and address user needs during product development.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders from product, design, marketing, data, and strategy to enhance our products with a focus on user experience.
- Advocate for user needs, goals, and challenges as well as user-centered design throughout the organization.
- Shape the product strategy and roadmap through proactive research.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
- You possess a deep understanding of user research, design thinking methods, and user-centered design principles, along with UI best practices.
- You have experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative UX research studies; familiarity with market research and/or business analysis is a plus.
- You are comfortable creating reports and presenting findings.
- You can communicate fluently in both written and spoken English, which is our corporate language, and you speak at least one of French or German at a native-speaker level.
- You are adept at running statistical analyses and using tools such as R (preferred) or SPSS.
- A university degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or related fields emphasizing human behavior would be an asset.
- You are capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks across multiple projects, and adapting to changing schedules. Your proactive approach is evident in discussions about enhancing our research team's capabilities.
