Your Mission

Working at SMG means taking ownership from day one. You will be working in our Automotive division, which includes the platforms AutoScout24 and MotoScout24, turning these platforms into even more impressive products.

As a UX researcher, you will be responsible for learning and understanding our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions. This will yield insights that inform product strategy and guide the experiences we create for all our platforms. Your work will shape the perception of the car market in Switzerland and have a direct impact on millions of people.

What You Will Do

  • Research planning: collaboration with various stakeholders to define strategic research objectives.
  • Preparing, conducting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative user studies to explore business models, features, concepts, and designs with our users.
  • Effectively communicate insights and findings to represent and address user needs and insights during product development.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders from various areas, including product, design, marketing, data, and strategy, to develop our products with a focus on user experience.
  • Advocate for user needs, goals, and problems, as well as user-centered design throughout the organization.
  • Shape the product strategy and roadmap by conducting proactive research.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • You know the ins and outs of user research, are interested in design thinking methods, and understand user-centered design principles and UI best practices.
  • You have experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative UX Research Studies. Experience in market research and/or business analysis is a plus.
  • You’re comfortable creating reports and giving presentations.
  • You can communicate fluently in both written and spoken English, which is our corporate language, and you speak at least one of French or German at a native-speaker level.
  • You know how to run statistical analyses and are comfortable using statistical analysis tools like R (big plus) or SPSS.
  • A degree at university level in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or related fields emphasizing human behavior is an added value.
  • You know how to work independently and prioritize time across multiple projects, and you are flexible in adapting to changing schedules. Your proactivity shines through in discussions about our ways of working, helping take our research team to the next level.
