Your Job Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Expanding and maintaining mammalian cells in suspension from small to large scale (up to 100L).
  • Utilizing stably transfected CHO cells for the expression of recombinant antibodies, antibody fragments, and proteins with single-use systems.
  • Generating hypotheses, designing and executing follow-up experiments, and troubleshooting issues with guidance from senior lab members or the manager.
  • Reviewing literature to develop and implement novel technology solutions.
  • Actively participating in lab organization, including maintaining equipment and preparing sterile devices for production.
  • Documenting results in detail, presenting research updates, and constructively participating in project teams and lab meetings.

Minimum Requirements - What You Will Bring to the Role

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in industry with an MSc degree in a relevant life science discipline, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in industry with either a completed apprenticeship or a BSc degree in a relevant life science discipline.
  • Good theoretical and strong practical laboratory experience in mammalian cell technology (stable cell lines, Wave culture systems), cell biology, and sterile technique.
  • A high learning ability to acquire expertise in new technologies and technical equipment.
  • Proven experience in successfully prioritizing and adhering to timelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Independent and accurate working style, results-driven, and committed to quality.
  • Open, proactive communicator, with a strong customer focus and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Reliable and flexible team player, accustomed to sharing tasks and projects.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of German is advantageous.

Desirable Skills

  • Solid experience in a related discipline (Molecular Biology, Protein Purification).
