The Professorship for Learning Sciences and Higher Education at ETH Zurich is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our team starting early April 2026. In this role, you will support a research project conducting a meta-analysis about embodied educational design. This involves reviewing academic literature, screening relevant studies, and extracting pertinent information from the papers.
Our research group is dedicated to investigating human cognition and learning processes, focusing on theory-driven research to enhance learning environments.
In our current project, we are conducting a meta-analysis on embodied pedagogical designs in STEM learning. As a research assistant, you will collaborate closely with a doctoral researcher, contributing to the screening and coding of academic papers (please note that coding in this context refers to categorizing information from research articles and not programming).
This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of meta-analysis, gain insights into an increasingly important educational field, and acquire valuable quantitative and qualitative research skills.
The work environment is flexible and primarily remote, offering a variety of collaboration options. Our interdisciplinary team fosters a friendly working atmosphere.
