Research and Process Engineer

We are seeking an engineer who combines strong scientific expertise with excellent communication skills, someone who is enthusiastic about addressing industrial challenges on a global scale. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key interface between our research center and international partners, providing on-site scientific and technical expertise while contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and promote R&D Carbon technologies.
- Analyze process and quality control data and offer clear recommendations.
- Develop research and development activities related to industrial study cases.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and scientific documentation.
- Travel internationally to customer facilities for audits, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Deliver technical training to operators, engineers, and laboratory technicians.
- Represent R&D Carbon at customer meetings, conferences, and technical events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, material science, or related disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of material characterization, laboratory testing, and data analysis.
- Exposure to process, equipment, or product development and scale-up projects.
- Experience interacting directly with customers in an industrial environment or in industrial R&D, technical customer support, or process engineering.
- Experience in preparing technical reports and delivering training.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in French and/or German is a strong asset. Willingness to travel internationally is required.
