Position: Relationship Manager Private Banking (RM)

The Relationship Manager Private Banking serves as the primary point of contact between our clients and the Bank. Acting as an ambassador for Julius Baer, you will proactively and independently manage a portfolio of Ultra High Net Worth (UHNWI) clients, delivering tailored wealth management solutions to address their needs while managing routine inquiries and transactions.

Your Challenge:

  • Proactively develop and maintain a self-acquired portfolio of UHNWI clients with a focus on the UK International Market.
  • Create and nurture trust-based relationships with clients through regular and personalized engagement.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all client needs.
  • Assess and evaluate clients' financial situations and overall objectives.
  • Provide general wealth management services by formulating integrated solutions (legal, tax, financial, etc.) based on the clients' objectives.
  • Manage client assets in accordance with investment guidelines, collaborating with the Advisory Solutions and Investment Management departments.
  • Monitor financial market developments and adapt investment strategies as necessary.
  • Introduce clients to the Bank’s products and services, offering customized investment solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory procedures and compliance standards.

Your Profile:

  • Proven track record in acquiring new UHNWI relationships utilizing your existing network in the UK International market.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience advising sophisticated UK-based clients, with substantial management of sizable portfolios in Private Banking Financial Institutions.
  • Competence in investment advisory, with knowledge of local equities, bonds, and derivative instruments. Portfolio management experience is an asset.
  • Well-versed in global financial markets, economics, and current affairs.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities.
  • In-depth understanding of the UK market, including its legal and regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Recent experience living and working in the UK is advantageous; however, established relationships within the UK market are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative.
  • Business-oriented, with the capacity for strategic thinking in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills, capable of working under pressure.
  • Open, approachable, and a collaborative team player.
  • A passion for client service.
  • Persistence and persuasive communication style.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel.
  • Relevant higher education and professional qualifications, such as a Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
