Position Overview

The Relationship Manager Private Banking (RM) serves as the primary liaison between our clients and the Bank. Acting as an ambassador for Julius Baer, you will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of Ultra High Net Worth clients, delivering tailored wealth management solutions to address their needs and handling routine inquiries and transactions.

Your Challenge

  • Proactively develop and maintain a self-acquired portfolio of UHNWI clients, focusing on the UK International Market.
  • Create and foster trust-based relationships with clients through regular and personalized interactions.
  • Respond to client needs promptly and professionally.
  • Assess clients' financial situations and overall objectives to provide suitable insights.
  • Deliver comprehensive wealth management services, formulating integrated solutions in legal, tax, financial, and other areas based on clients’ goals.
  • Manage client assets in accordance with investment guidelines in coordination with the "Advisory Solutions" and "Investment Management" departments.
  • Monitor financial market developments closely and adjust investment strategies as necessary.
  • Introduce the Bank’s products and services, offering customized investment solutions to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory procedures.

Your Profile

  • Proven track record in acquiring new UHNWI relationships through an established network in the UK International market.
  • At least 10 years of experience advising sophisticated UK-based clients, managing substantial portfolios in Private Banking Financial Institutions.
  • Investment advisory competence and experience in local equities, bonds, and extensive knowledge of derivative instruments; portfolio management experience is a plus.
  • Broad understanding of global financial markets, economics, and current affairs.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and seizing new business opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK market, encompassing its legal and regulatory framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by strong negotiation abilities.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Recent experience living and working in the UK is advantageous; however, established relationships in the UK market are essential.
  • A self-starter who thrives in independent roles and is proactive in taking initiatives.
  • Business-oriented with the capability to think strategically in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure.
  • Open, approachable demeanor and a strong team player.
  • Passionate about client service.
  • Persistent and persuasive in approach.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
  • Relevant higher education and professional background, such as a Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
