NEOVIVA is a private, medical-psychotherapeutic boutique clinic situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Lucerne (Canton Lucerne). We specialize in treating clients grappling with problematic substance use and associated mental disorders, employing an internationally recognized treatment model. Our facilities cater to English-speaking clients from Switzerland and beyond, prioritizing an abstinence- and recovery-oriented approach. Clients engage in a high-intensity, group-based psychotherapeutic program utilizing evidence-based methods for a minimum duration of four weeks. NEOVIVA is licensed by Swiss Authorities and stands as Switzerland's only international, highly specialized, group-based addiction treatment clinic.

Open Positions: Recovery Counsellors

We are currently seeking several Recovery Counsellors to join our team, either immediately or by mutual agreement.

Your Profile

  • At least 10 years of continuous abstinence
  • Active participation in mutual aid groups (AA, NA, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of your own recovery process and the ability to share insights in a nuanced way
  • High level of professional and personal competence as an "expert from experience"
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team under medical supervision
  • Training or a certificate in Counselling is advantageous
  • Empathetic and unbiased approach to interactions with others
  • Strong social competence, appreciation, and empathy to engage with culturally diverse and international clients
  • Excellent command of English (C2 professional proficiency); proficiency in other languages is a plus
  • Eligibility for a work permit in Switzerland (CH/EU/EFTA nationals)

Your Tasks

  • Participation and co-moderation of group therapy sessions
  • Support clients during treatment breaks and leisure activities
  • Assist clients in their transition back home in all recovery-related aspects
  • Plan and organize clients' attendance at 12-step meetings
  • Drive and accompany clients to 12-step meetings if necessary
  • Manage client pickups and drop-offs at their points of arrival (airports, train stations)
  • Organize and supervise overnight, on-call, and weekend duties
  • Participate in clinical meetings
  • Support the client relations and clinical team as needed
  • Document treatment-related activities in the medical health record software
