NEOVIVA is a private medical-psychotherapeutic boutique clinic, situated in a prestigious location on the shores of Lake Lucerne, Switzerland. We specialize in treating clients dealing with problematic substance use and associated mental disorders, guided by an internationally recognized treatment model. Our clinic offers abstinence- and recovery-oriented care, tailored for English-speaking clients both locally and internationally. As Switzerland's only licensed, highly specialized, group-based addiction treatment clinic, we emphasize a high-intensity, group-focused psychotherapeutic program that utilizes evidence-based methods over a minimum of four weeks.

Current Opportunity: Recovery Counsellors

We are currently seeking several Recovery Counsellors to join our dedicated team, starting immediately or by mutual agreement.

Your Profile

  • At least 10 years of continuous abstinence
  • Active participation in mutual aid groups (AA, NA, etc.)
  • A profound understanding of your own recovery process, with the ability to communicate it effectively
  • High level of professional and personal competence as an "expert from experience"
  • Ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team under medical leadership
  • Training or certificate in Counselling is an advantage
  • Empathetic and unbiased approach to client interactions
  • Strong social skills, with an appreciative attitude and empathy towards culturally diverse and international clients
  • Excellent command of English (C2 professional proficiency); proficiency in other languages is a plus
  • Eligibility for a work permit in Switzerland (CH/EU/EFTA nationals)

Your Tasks

  • Participate and co-moderate group therapy sessions
  • Support clients during treatment breaks and leisure activities
  • Assist clients in their transition back home, focusing on all recovery-related aspects
  • Plan and organize clients' attendance at 12-step meetings
  • Drive and accompany clients to 12-step meetings when necessary
  • Be responsible for client pickups and drop-offs at their port of arrival (airports, train stations)
  • Organize and supervise overnight, on-call, and weekend duties
  • Participate in clinical meetings
  • Support client relations and the clinical team as needed
  • Document treatment-related activities in the medical health record software
