Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Lucerne (Canton Lucerne), our clinic serves English-speaking clients from Switzerland and abroad. At NEOVIVA, we adhere to an abstinence and recovery-oriented approach, utilizing an internationally recognized treatment model. Our clients engage in a high-intensity, group-based psychotherapeutic program that employs evidence-based methods for a minimum of four weeks. As the only international clinic in Switzerland specializing in group-based addiction treatment, NEOVIVA is licensed by Swiss Authorities.

We Are Hiring: Recovery Counsellors

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Recovery Counsellors to join our team, with positions available for immediate start or by agreement.

Your Profile

  • At least 10 years of continuous abstinence
  • Active participation in mutual aid groups (AA, NA, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of your own recovery process with the ability to share experiences in a nuanced manner
  • High level of professional and personal competence as an "expert from experience"
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team under medical leadership
  • Training or certification in Counseling is a plus
  • Empathetic approach to interpersonal interactions without bias
  • Strong social competence, respectful demeanor, and empathy for culturally diverse and international clients
  • Excellent command of English (C2 professional proficiency); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
  • Eligibility for a work permit in Switzerland (CH/EU/EFTA nationals)

Your Tasks

  • Participate in and co-moderate group therapy sessions
  • Support clients during breaks and leisure activities
  • Assist clients in their transition and return home in all recovery-related aspects
  • Plan and organize clients' attendance at 12-step meetings
  • Drive and accompany clients to 12-step meetings as necessary
  • Manage client pickups and drop-offs at their point of arrival (airports, train stations)
  • Organize and supervise overnight, on-call, and weekend duties
  • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings
  • Support the client relations and clinical team as needed
  • Document treatment-related activities within medical health record software
