Our treatment concept adheres to an internationally recognized model, ensuring that we provide the highest standard of care. Nestled on the picturesque shores of Lake Lucerne in Canton Lucerne, we serve English-speaking clients from Switzerland and abroad. NEOVIVA is committed to an abstinence and recovery-oriented approach, featuring a high-intensity, group-based psychotherapeutic program utilizing evidence-based methods, with a minimum duration of four weeks. We proudly hold a license from Swiss Authorities and are Switzerland's only international, highly specialized, group-based addiction treatment clinic.
We Are Hiring: Recovery Counsellors
We are currently seeking Recovery Counsellors to start immediately or by agreement.
Your Profile
- At least 10 years of continuous abstinence
- Active participation in mutual aid groups (AA, NA, etc.)
- Deep understanding of your own recovery process and the ability to articulate it effectively
- High level of professional and personal competence as an "expert from experience"
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team under medical leadership
- Training or certification in counselling is an advantage
- Empathetic and unbiased approach to others
- High social competence with an appreciative attitude and empathy for culturally diverse and international clients
- Excellent command of English (C2 professional proficiency); additional languages are a plus
- Must be eligible for a work permit in Switzerland (CH/EU-/EFTA nationals)
Your Tasks
- Participating in and co-moderating group therapy sessions
- Supporting clients in treatment during breaks and leisure activities
- Assisting clients in their transition and return home regarding all recovery-related aspects
- Planning and organizing clients' attendance at 12-step meetings
- Driving and accompanying clients to 12-step meetings when necessary
- Responsible for client pickups and drop-offs at their port of arrival (airports, train stations)
- Organizing and supervising overnight, on-call, and weekend duties
- Participating in clinical meetings
- Supporting the client relations and clinical team as needed
- Documenting treatment-related activities in the medical health record software
