Job Description
This role is part of the Private Markets Operations team and emphasizes significant AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of AML/KYC requirements, demonstrating the ability to understand and, where necessary, constructively challenge information and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate approvals and process a variety of legal documentation.
- Respond to queries from internal and external sources with a strong focus on AML/KYC-related requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Support the ongoing lifecycle of investments, collaborating with General Partners, administrators, and external legal counsel on pre- and post-investment activities such as refreshing tax documents, KYC reviews, and investment maintenance tasks (e.g., LPA amendments, fund term extensions).
- Execute various legal documents across the wider Private Markets Operations team, paying special attention to AML/KYC compliance.
- Coordinate with various internal stakeholders (legal, investment, finance) to obtain necessary approvals before signing legal documents, maintaining an awareness of AML/KYC implications throughout the process.
- Handle complex KYC requests related to our investing entities while supporting external Administrators with their own KYC requirements.
- Support workflow optimization in fund operations, particularly in areas related to AML/KYC processes and documentation handling.
- Engage in various ongoing and upcoming projects, taking ownership and responsibility where it directly influences this role.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance or a related field;
- Proficient in German and English;
- Excellent MS Office skills;
- Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize across multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client service/query management role;
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience managing KYC/AML for institutional clients (requesting, reviewing, providing);
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality and meeting challenging deadlines;
- Efficient and detail-oriented working style;
- Open and clear communication style, with the ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
