Job Opportunity: AML/KYC Specialist

This position is part of the Private Markets Operations team, with a significant focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AML/KYC requirements and be comfortable engaging with, and constructively challenging, relevant information and processes when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate approvals and process a wide variety of legal documentation.
  • Manage and respond to queries from internal and external sources, focusing on AML/KYC-related requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Support the ongoing lifecycle of investments by liaising with General Partners, administrators, and external legal counsel—particularly during pre- and post-investment activities such as refreshing tax documents, KYC reviews, and investment maintenance tasks (e.g. Limited Partnership Agreement amendments, fund term extensions).
  • Execute various legal documents within the broader Private Markets Operations team, emphasizing adherence to AML/KYC compliance.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (legal, investment, finance) to secure necessary approvals before signing legal documents, while remaining mindful of AML/KYC implications throughout the process.
  • Address and resolve complex KYC requests related to investing entities, as well as support external administrators with their KYC requirements.
  • Enhance workflow optimization in fund operations, particularly in relation to AML/KYC processes and documentation management.
  • Participate in various ongoing and upcoming projects, taking ownership and responsibility in areas directly impacting this role.

Requirements

  • KV degree.
  • Proficient language skills in German and English.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and prioritize across various tasks simultaneously.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client service/query management role.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience managing KYC/AML for institutional clients (requesting, reviewing, and providing).
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Efficient and precise working style with a strong focus on details.
  • Open and clear communication style, effectively managing both internal and external stakeholders.
