Your Future Role
As a Quantitative Trading Director specializing in Coffee and Cocoa, you will:
- Oversee discretionary and systematic coffee & cocoa trading strategies, leveraging both market and fundamental data.
- Supervise fundamental and quantitative research and analysis related to coffee & cocoa.
- Manage and mentor junior analysts, collaborating with internal experts to enhance overall business performance.
- Lead research into price models, supply-demand signals, and seasonality effects.
- Integrate alternative datasets into the strategy pipeline.
- Share and discuss research results, methodologies, datasets, and processes with fellow researchers.
- Manage relationships with key clients globally.
Your Present Skillset
- 8–10+ years of trading experience in commodities, specifically with direct exposure to coffee and/or cocoa.
- Experience in the global robusta trade is a plus.
- Proven track record in systematic or quantamental strategy design.
- In-depth understanding of softs fundamentals and global commodity markets.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Experience exploring large datasets across multiple time frames is a plus.
- Intellectual curiosity to explore new datasets, solve complex problems, drive innovative processes, and connect insights across multiple fields.
- Capability to work autonomously in a collegial and collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with technologists, data scientists, traders, and clients worldwide.
