Position: Quality Manager for Components

This role is part of our strategic supply chain organization, reporting to the Global Category Manager for Components, based in Baden, Switzerland.

About the Role

Are you a proactive leader ready to shape the future of quality in our global supply network? We are seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking professional who takes ownership of quality performance and actively leads strategic improvements across our supplier base for turbocharger components. In this crucial position, you will manage current supplier performance while also crafting and executing quality strategies that enhance long-term value and resilience within our supply chain.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the quality strategy for the assigned components group, aligning it with long-term business goals and engaging with cross-functional global stakeholders.
  • Drive sustainable quality improvements in serial production parts, ensuring that annual performance targets are met.
  • Anticipate and resolve customer complaints by identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions.
  • Lead supplier onboarding and qualification, ensuring a first-time-right approach through early involvement and clear quality expectations.
  • Facilitate smooth supplier transitions by transferring critical quality knowledge during part relocations or portfolio expansions.
  • Own supplier development projects, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methods to implement sustainable improvements.
  • Continuously challenge and refine internal quality processes, tools, and specifications to increase efficiency and preemptively address issues.
  • Represent quality proactively in new product and component development, ensuring the early integration of quality standards and lessons learned from previous projects.

Your Background

  • Master's or University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Advanced training in quality management; Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable with a strong ability to identify opportunities and drive impactful change.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence in cross-cultural and organizational interactions.
  • Practical, hands-on problem solver with a relentless drive for continuous improvement.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally (up to 20%).
