Job Title: Quality Inspector (Kitting)
As a Quality Inspector (Kitting), you will carry out a visual inspection of parts or modules for transportation damage. You will verify the correctness of documentation, ensure the required quantity of parts or modules is available, and create labels in SAP for unserviceable parts or modules. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that the required standards are met and that the technical Onlog in SAP is accurate.
Your Tasks
- Inspect LEAP and GTF parts and modules for transport damage and quantity verification.
- Complete and verify the SAP Onlog structure.
- Check life-limited parts (LLP) sheets for correct parts installation.
- Organize the exchange and return of materials with the material coordinator team.
- Communicate with Engineering and Material Master for SAP data adjustments.
- Store parts and modules in their designated locations.
- Sign off on technical and administrative tasks according to relevant guidelines.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks with a strong focus on quality.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma concepts (Lean Events, Root Cause Analysis, 5S) to drive continuous improvement.
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training, preferably specialized in metal (polymechanics, plant and equipment engineering, machine mechanics, or equivalent).
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within the Aviation MRO industry.
- Willingness to work in two shifts and flexibility to work on weekends.
- Preferably authorized to certify engines under EASA Part 145/Part 66.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently, precisely, and responsibly.
- Open-minded and dedicated team player.
- High awareness of safety, quality, and cost.
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced in SAP.
- Knowledge of the English language (minimum level B1); German skills are advantageous.
- Flexibility to travel on short notice to perform Field Assistance Support at any location.
