About the Role
As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be a vital part of the Design Organization (DOA PART-21J) and will report to the Chief Independent Monitoring. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Design Quality:
- Ensure compliance with documented processes and the design organization handbook during the release of deliverables.
- Ensure the required level of quality in all deliverables.
- Provide independent assurance that planned life cycle processes and standards are followed throughout the product life cycle through inspections, random reviews, and design reviews for milestones.
- Verify that the product life cycle data complies with established processes and plans, focusing on the correct application of processes, standards, and industry guidelines in projects.
- Proactively participate in product development to ensure quality is integrated into the design and lessons learned are applied.
- Participate in change control boards (CCB).
- Support the Chief of Independent Monitoring with audits (internal/external).
Your Profile
You have a demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a rapidly changing environment. Specifically, this includes:
- A university degree in Quality or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in quality, preferably in EASA Part 21 subpart J aerospace.
- 3+ years of experience working with AS9100 standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of DO-254 Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware, DO-178 Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification, and ARP4754A Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems is a plus.
- Success in driving operational excellence in quality.
- Analytical, structured, and independent working style, with the ability to maintain a macro-overview.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English (oral and written), with French being an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of PLM tools and ERP systems.
- Experience in implementing AS9100 is an advantage.
- Experience with EASA and Part 21 regulatory requirements in an aerospace-approved organization.
