Job Description
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development of next-generation turbocharging products within the Medium Speed, Low Speed & Rail Division in Baden, Switzerland. Your focus will be on delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions that maximize customer value. You will lead or collaborate on product development projects and related engineering tasks in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge products that meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring operational safety and product reliability.
- Lead or collaborate on cross-functional product development projects.
- Manage requirements and demands from customers and various internal functions (sales, supply, production, etc.), converting them into successful product solutions.
- Define and coordinate internal and external work packages in areas such as product and component testing, simulation, and material investigations, while supporting contractors during execution.
- Ensure product qualification and compliance with both internal and external regulations.
- Utilize your technical domain knowledge to provide support to colleagues and other functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal functions, other R&D teams, and external parties (e.g., customers, academia, development partners).
- Ensure state-of-the-art product documentation for both internal and external user groups.
- Propose and implement optimizations in working processes to foster lean development and continuous quality improvement.
Your Background
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master's degree (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
- Thorough knowledge of modern development methods.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
- Independent, self-organized, and dedicated work approach.
- Analytical skills with the ability to understand complex situations and think laterally to generate innovative solutions.
- Proven ability to succeed in international and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
