Job Title: Product Development Engineer - Turbocharging Division

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful development of next-generation turbocharging products within the Medium Speed, Low Speed & Rail Division in Baden, Switzerland. You will be instrumental in ensuring innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions that maximize customer value. You will lead or collaborate on product development projects and related engineering tasks in a cross-functional and multicultural working environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop cutting-edge products that meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring operational safety and product reliability.
  • Lead or collaborate in cross-functional product development projects.
  • Manage requirements and demands from customers and various internal functions (sales, supply, production, etc.) and convert them into successful product solutions.
  • Define and coordinate internal and external work packages in product and component testing, simulation, and material investigations, and support contractors during execution.
  • Ensure product qualification and compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Utilize your technical domain knowledge to provide support to colleagues and other functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal functions, other R&D teams, and external partners (e.g., customers, academia, development partners).
  • Ensure state-of-the-art product documentation for internal and external user groups.
  • Propose and drive optimizations of working processes that support lean development and continuous quality improvement.

Your Background:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master's degree (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
  • Profound knowledge of state-of-the-art development methods.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
  • Independent, self-organized, and dedicated approach to work.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex situations and think laterally to generate innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
