Job Opportunity: Turbocharging Product Development Specialist

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the development of next-generation turbocharging products within the Medium Speed, Low Speed & Rail Division located in Baden, Switzerland. Your efforts will ensure innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions that deliver maximum value to our customers. You will lead or collaborate on product development projects and related engineering tasks within a dynamic, cross-functional, and multicultural environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop cutting-edge products that meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring operational safety and product reliability.
  • Lead or collaborate in cross-functional product development projects.
  • Manage requirements and demands from customers and various internal functions (sales, supply, production, etc.) and transform them into effective product solutions.
  • Define and coordinate internal and external work packages in product and component testing, simulation, and material investigations, while supporting contractors during execution.
  • Ensure product qualification and compliance with both internal and external regulations.
  • Utilize your technical domain knowledge to offer support to colleagues and various functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal functions, other R&D teams, and external parties such as customers, academia, and development partners.
  • Ensure comprehensive product documentation for both internal and external user groups.
  • Propose and implement optimizations of working processes to support lean development and continuous quality improvement.

Your Background:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master’s degree (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the relevant industry.
  • Profound knowledge of state-of-the-art development methods.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • A willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented, dynamic working environment.
  • Independent, self-organized, and dedicated approach to work.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to understand complex situations, coupled with lateral thinking to generate innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
