Job Description
In this role, you will contribute significantly to the successful development of next-generation turbocharging products in the Medium Speed, Low Speed & Rail Division based in Baden, Switzerland. You will ensure innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions that maximize customer value. This position involves leading or collaborating on product development projects and related engineering tasks within a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge products that meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring operational safety and product reliability.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional product development projects.
- Manage requirements and demands from customers and various internal functions (sales, supply, production, etc.) and translate them into successful product solutions.
- Define and coordinate internal and external work packages in the areas of product and component testing, simulation, and materials investigations, while supporting contractors during execution.
- Ensure product qualification and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Utilize your technical domain knowledge to provide support to colleagues or other functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal functions, other R&D teams, and external parties (e.g., customers, academia, development partners).
- Ensure state-of-the-art product documentation for internal and external user groups.
- Propose and implement optimizations of working processes that support lean development and continuous quality improvement.
Your Background
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably at the Master's level (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
- Profound knowledge of state-of-the-art development methods.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
- Independent, self-organized, and dedicated approach to work.
- Analytical skills with the ability to understand complex situations and think laterally to generate innovative solutions.
- Ability to work successfully in international and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
