About the Department

The Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) and the ETH Competence Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Science (RESC) play a pivotal role in ETH’s strategy for human health. Together, they unite over 100 professorships across various disciplines, including medical technology, rehabilitation, neuroscience, and sports science. The department supports translational research that bridges the gap between laboratory discoveries and clinical applications, providing a dynamic environment for interdisciplinary research and development at the intersection of medicine, engineering, and life sciences.

Role Overview

You will support the management team in the planning and execution of core business functions such as network management, fundraising, interdisciplinary research programs, and development projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure that projects align with the academic mission and operational standards. Your visionary mindset and hands-on approach are essential for developing and implementing innovative formats in health tech entrepreneurship, such as launching summer schools or creating an incubator program.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree
• Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a medical field
• Several years of professional experience in industry, hospital/disability services, or public authorities related to health technology
• Proven record of leading interdisciplinary projects
• Strong project management skills
• Experience in entrepreneurship is desirable
• Proactive personality who inspires others with ideas and vision
• Decisive, confident, self-critical, and inclusive
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English (French/Italian is a plus)
