Sustainability in Business Lab (sus.lab)

The Sustainability in Business Lab is a “think and do tank” dedicated to making a real-world impact that accelerates the transition toward a net-zero and circular economy. Sus.lab transforms sustainability research into actionable initiatives through highly collaborative projects with industry leaders, policymakers, and academic institutions.

Join Our Team

We are inviting an impact-driven project manager with expertise in sustainability, technology, and business to join us at the Sustainability in Business Lab at ETH Zurich (sus.lab) and contribute to our mission of fostering a net-zero and circular economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project leads in developing impactful outcomes for pioneering, industry-related research projects (including FARM4HH).
  • Work independently on assigned tasks, in close collaboration with the respective project team.
  • Assist in writing research proposals and third-party funding applications.

Qualifications

  • Up to one year of relevant work experience (including consulting, strategy, entrepreneurship, or policy); internships are eligible.
  • A completed master’s degree in a relevant field (such as sustainability, engineering, environmental science, or business).
  • Fluency in German (native level), English (C1), and proficiency in either Italian or French (C1).
  • Residence in Switzerland, with the ability to work in Zurich; remote work is not an option.
  • Able to commence the position by August 2025 at the latest.

  • Have experience in conducting focus groups or employing qualitative research methods.
  • Can effectively manage and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Are enthusiastic about technical writing, especially in producing reports.

Contract Details

The contract for the position of Scientific Assistant I is initially limited to one year, with the possibility of extension.
