In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development of next-generation turbocharging products within the Medium Speed, Low Speed & Rail Division. Your efforts will ensure that we provide innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions that deliver maximum customer value. You will lead or collaborate on product development projects and related engineering tasks within a dynamic, cross-functional, and multicultural work environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop cutting-edge products that not only meet but exceed customer expectations while ensuring operational safety and product reliability.
  • Lead or collaborate in cross-functional product development projects.
  • Manage and translate customer requirements and demands from various internal functions (sales, supply, production, etc.) into successful product solutions.
  • Define and coordinate internal and external work packages pertaining to product and component testing, simulation, and material investigations, while supporting contractors during execution.
  • Ensure product qualification and compliance with both internal and external regulations.
  • Utilize your technical domain knowledge to provide invaluable support to colleagues and other functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal functions, other R&D teams, and external parties, such as customers, academia, and development partners.
  • Ensure up-to-date product documentation is available for internal and external user groups.
  • Identify and drive optimizations in working processes that support lean development and continuous quality improvement.

Your Background

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master’s degree (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant industry.
  • Profound knowledge of contemporary development methods.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to thrive in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
  • Independent, self-organized, and dedicated work approach.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to understand complex situations and apply lateral thinking to develop innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to work successfully within international and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
