Job Description

Are you passionate about harnessing digital technologies and automation to create smarter and more efficient production environments? In the role of Project Manager – Industrial Digitalization, you will manage Manufacturing IT and digitalization projects from start to finish—conceptualization, requirements definition, implementation, user adoption, and operational stabilization. A primary focus will involve driving digitalization and IT within factory investment projects.

Your projects will encompass areas such as Manufacturing Execution Systems, industrial data platforms, serialization, artificial intelligence, and connected-factory solutions. You will serve as a key connector, coordinating business stakeholders, technical experts, equipment suppliers, IT teams, and external implementation partners while managing the project's scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and risks.

You will be part of the Supply & Value Chain Excellence organization in Baden, reporting to the Team Lead Value Chain Digitalization, and working closely with business leadership, IT, and technical experts across our value chain.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial digitalization and Manufacturing IT projects from initial concept and business case through to implementation and user adoption.
  • Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder alignment to ensure successful business outcomes.
  • Oversee IT workstreams within factory investment projects, ensuring alignment between processes, control systems, automation, and enterprise IT.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities from an IT perspective.
  • Translate operational needs into solution concepts and coordinate architecture and integration decisions with IT and technical experts.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, equipment suppliers, IT teams, and external implementation partners.

Your Background

  • 5+ years of experience managing IT or digitalization projects, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the interaction between shop floor systems, automation, and enterprise IT.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements engineering, process analysis, and solution design, with the ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing IT systems such as MES, SAP, WMS, industrial data platforms, or machine connectivity.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation/control systems and IT/OT integration, including PLC/SPS-based equipment and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience contributing to factory investment projects, including testing and commissioning activities, is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, budgets, timelines, and project risks.
  • Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and German (both written and spoken).

Your Benefits

  • Attractive compensation & benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Global parental leave program.
  • Flexible working models.
