Do you thrive in cross-functional environments, balancing technical expertise, stakeholder alignment, and operational excellence? If so, this is your chance to make a tangible impact on our global production footprint.

As a Project Manager for Factory Investments, you will lead high-impact CAPEX projects—ranging from 2 to 10 million CHF—focused on factory optimization and the implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing our production sites in Switzerland and abroad, driving advancements in automation, digitalization, and operational excellence within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setup.

With your entrepreneurial mindset, strong result orientation, and technical expertise, you will guide cross-functional project teams through the entire project lifecycle—from concept to handover—ensuring high-quality, timely, and on-budget execution. Your efforts will directly contribute to safeguarding stable operations while enhancing our long-term competitiveness.

You will join the Value Chain organization in Baden, reporting to the Value Chain Investment Manager, and will work closely with factory leadership and technical experts across our global value chain.

  • Manage cross-functional project teams globally through all phases—from initiation and analysis to concept development, implementation, and successful handover, including shaping maintenance and service concepts.
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, establish governance structures, and effectively plan and manage work packages.
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders by ensuring strong customer focus, continuous dialogue, and service excellence.
  • Foster partnerships with external entities such as suppliers, universities, and technology providers.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the organization; continuously enhance project management methodologies and tools.

Your Background

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Automation, Production Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of proven project management experience leading complex CAPEX projects, with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
  • Hands-on experience in the machinery or metal manufacturing industry, ideally with the implementation of advanced technologies (e.g., cutting systems).
  • Strong financial literacy to evaluate data and build sound business cases for investments.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent conceptual skills and a proactive, solution-oriented, and independent working style.
  • Team player with high self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong drive for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
