As a Project Manager for Factory Investments, you will take charge of high-impact CAPEX projects ranging from 2 to 10 million CHF, focused on factory optimization and the implementation of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. You will play a key role in developing our production sites in Switzerland and abroad, driving advancements in automation, digitalization, and operational excellence within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setup.

With your entrepreneurial mindset, strong result orientation, and technical expertise, you will guide cross-functional project teams through the entire project lifecycle—from concept to handover—ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective execution. Your efforts will contribute to safeguarding stable operations while enhancing our long-term competitiveness.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead complex factory optimization and investment projects (CAPEX 2–10M CHF), ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
  • Develop deep expertise in production processes to drive innovation, automation, and digitalization—balancing productivity with operational stability.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams globally through all project phases: from initiation and analysis to concept development, implementation, and successful handover.
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, establishing governance structures and effectively planning and managing work packages.
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring strong customer focus and service excellence.
  • Foster partnerships with external entities such as suppliers, universities, and technology providers.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the organization to enhance project management methodologies and tools continuously.

Your Background

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Automation, Production Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of proven project management experience leading complex CAPEX projects, with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
  • Hands-on experience in the machinery or metal manufacturing industry, ideally with advanced technologies (e.g., cutting systems).
  • Strong financial literacy to evaluate data and build sound business cases for investments.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent conceptual skills and a proactive, solution-oriented, independent working style.
  • Team player with high self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong drive for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
