Position Overview

Are you a hands-on project leader with a passion for manufacturing innovation, ready to bring complex factory investments to life? Do you excel in cross-functional environments, balancing technical expertise and operational excellence? If so, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our global production footprint.

As a Project Manager focused on Factory Investments, you will lead high-impact CAPEX projects between 2 to 10 million CHF, aimed at optimizing factories and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies. Your role will be vital in developing our production sites in Switzerland and abroad, driving innovations in automation, digitalization, and operational excellence within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setup.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead complex factory optimization and investment projects (CAPEX 2–10M CHF), ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution.
  • Develop deep expertise in production processes to drive innovation, automation, and digitalization, balancing productivity with operational stability.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams globally through all project phases, from initiation and analysis to concept development and successful handover, including shaping maintenance and service concepts.
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, establish governance structures, and effectively plan and manage work packages.
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring strong customer focus and continuous dialogue.
  • Foster partnerships with external entities such as suppliers, universities, and technology providers.
  • Share knowledge and best practices across the organization, continuously enhancing project management methodologies and tools.

Your Background

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Automation, Production Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of proven project management experience leading complex CAPEX projects, with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
  • Hands-on experience in the machinery or metal manufacturing industry, ideally with implementation of advanced technologies (e.g., cutting systems).
  • Strong financial literacy to evaluate data and build sound business cases for investments.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent conceptual skills and a proactive, solution-oriented working style.
  • Team player with high self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong drive to continuously learn and improve.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
