Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer with expertise in Black Utilities to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with prestigious clients and support the Global Engineering Team in the planning, construction, and start-up of Black Utilities infrastructure and plant units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Engineering: Develop and validate ideas, generate feasibility and conceptual studies, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external project partners, including experts in electrical, measurement, and controls engineering, civil engineering, HVAC engineering, 3D planning, field engineering/construction management, fire protection, and other relevant disciplines.
  • Project Execution: Assist in project execution from internal approval through to successful start-up, including commissioning and acceptance of systems.
  • Documentation: Prepare necessary calculations, technical documents, and specifications; manage the collection, control, and handover of as-built documentation.
  • Coordination: Participate in 3D coordination, collision checks, and adjustments throughout project phases.

Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in project engineering, planning, construction, or start-up of plants within the chemical, pharma, or biopharma industry. A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAPEX Engineering and/or Operations Engineering in these sectors is required.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. A structured mindset and precise working style are essential.
  • Languages: Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level).
