Your Mission

Job Description

  • Project Control Leadership: Oversee all project control aspects of R&D and New Product Introduction projects, including planning, budgeting, and scope/quality, including Technico-Economic Analysis.
  • Insight and Governance: Act as the R&D Project Control Manager for Product Development and System Integration projects (Gen 3.X), providing insights into the project management trilemma of time, budget, and scope/quality to the Program Managers.
  • Scope and Quality Management: Collaborate closely with Program Managers to gather inputs from technical teams, presenting them via clear dashboards, and managing tools such as Microsoft Office, Playbook, Windchill, and Valispace.
  • Technico-Economic Analysis: Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to perform system analyses, understanding interdependencies and the impact of engineering changes.
  • Budget Tracking: Track budgets across sub-projects, working closely with Finance to ensure adequate resourcing for all supporting functions.
  • Timeline Control: Aggregate and control project timelines developed by others directly in Playbook, ensuring schedules are realistic, reliable, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

Your Story

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A university degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Proven Expertise: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable position, with a strong track record in managing rapidly evolving R&D or innovation-driven projects.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in project management tools such as MS Office, MS Teams, and MS Project, with a willingness to discover new tools.
  • Growth-Oriented Mindset: Adaptable, motivated, and eager to tackle complex challenges with curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative and Clear Communicator: Able to work seamlessly with cross-functional experts and engineers, approaching problems creatively and communicating complex ideas clearly in English.

Formalities

This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and we require that you work onsite at least three days per week. The percentage in the job title indicates flexibility, allowing you to choose full-time or part-time based on what works for you.
