Position Overview

As a Project Bad Zurzach Tool and Equipment Engineer, you will be a key member of the Production Support team. In this role, you will take the lead in equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement. Your responsibilities will allow you to develop specialized expertise in specific processes and related equipment, adding value by enhancing process efficiency through both advanced technologies and classical LEAN tools.

Your Tasks

  • Provide administration and supervision of external partners on-site.
  • Create and maintain:
    • Calibration instructions
    • Process maps
    • Technical templates (Process Parameter Sheets, Machine Setup, etc.)
    • Work instructions
    • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Dossiers
    • TTE (Tool and Test Equipment equivalency documentation according to ARINC 668 standard)
    • GEM (Ground Equipment Manuals)
    • SAP equipment database (ZITOOL)
  • Implement LEAN by executing 5S, Kanban, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Execute simple mechanical and manufacturing tasks.
  • Design and modify equipment that is not COTS (commercial off the shelf).
  • Promote research and development for supported processes.
  • Assure cost reduction of supported processes through automation and other efficiency improvements.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, aviation, or equivalent.
  • Working experience in the aerospace industry or a similar industrial environment.
  • MRO and/or Engine knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience in designing and drafting components with CAD; familiarity with Fusion 360 is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and SAP.
  • Fluent in German (Level C1) and English (Level B2).
