At the Quantum Device Lab at ETH Zurich and the ETH Zurich – PSI Quantum Computing Hub, we are advancing the field of quantum computing by developing large-scale quantum computers and promoting collaboration between academic and industrial partners in the evolving landscape of quantum technologies.

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Project Administrator to assist in coordinating a significant third-party-funded research project, supported by a U.S. agency. This role will also involve support for other ongoing research projects within our team, alongside general administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the project manager in overseeing project finances, including monitoring expenditures and preparing financial reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between our group, various units within ETH Zurich, external partners, and funding agencies.
  • Organize meetings and workshops, coordinate logistics, and assist with broader administrative tasks within the group.

Position Details

This is a temporary position initially limited to 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The role offers a commitment of 40% to 80%, depending on your interests and educational background.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree (from a university or university of applied sciences), or a commercial or administrative qualification.
  • Demonstrated interest and proven competence in financial topics, such as budgeting, cost tracking, or financial reporting.
  • Practical experience in project administration, ideally within an academic or research context.
  • A structured and precise working style, coupled with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A passion for organizing events (e.g., meetings, workshops) and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English and good German skills, both written and spoken.
